Ludlow School Committee votes unanimously to hire Cornoyer
School Committee · Meeting of March 19, 2026
Ludlow School Committee votes 5-0 to hire Sharon Cornoyer as next superintendent. Cornoyer, currently superintendent of Connecticut's E.O. Smith regional district, beat out North Brookfield Superintendent Tim McCormick after live finalist interviews Thursday capping a search that reviewed 21 applicants down to two.
She currently oversees a $26 million budget and 1,136 students; Committee Chairman Dr. Stratton noted Ludlow's budget is roughly double that size. Cornoyer told the committee "I will not let you fail this class," describing a student she refused to let drop an early-childhood education course.
Member Amanda called it "the most important job that we have as a school committee." Cornoyer succeeds retiring Superintendent Tiano; contract talks follow if she accepts.
