Ludlow School Committee elects Bowler chair, backs Cornoyer for superintendent

Ludlow School Committee reorganizes, tabs Sharon Cornoyer for superintendent. Members elected Sarah Bowler chairperson, Amanda Cotting vice chair and Jeff Lang secretary-clerk, all by 5-0 roll call, a day after Bowler and Cotting won reelection. Search committee chair Dr.
Stratton reported the panel interviewed Cornoyer and Tim McCormick and voted to appoint Cornoyer, who has accepted; contract talks follow in executive session. Superintendent Tiano said temporary busing vendor Roski Rides, whose survey showed 90 percent of parents "satisfied or very satisfied," may not return next year due to complications with the regional transportation collaborative. Principal Nemeth announced Ludlow High School earned full accreditation from NEASC, with 10 commendations and five recommendations, and unveiled a new Westfield State University dual-enrollment psychology course launching this fall.
