Select Board appoints two police officers, approves regional dispatch study.
Select Board · Meeting of June 2, 2026
Ludlow Select Board appoints two new police officers effective immediately. Isabella Provost and Jalette Mena were unanimously appointed to fill vacancies created by recent retirements; both ranked in the top two of five civil service candidates and will attend the Holyoke Police Academy in September alongside a third previously selected officer. In unrelated action, the board heard a presentation from Police Chief Brennan and Fire Chief Pease on establishing Ludlow as a regional emergency dispatch center serving Granby and Palmer, which Brennan said have expressed stronger interest in Ludlow than in joining Westcomm; board members authorized Chair Rosenblum to pursue formal negotiations while noting that regionalization could increase state grant incentives and generate revenue without surrendering local infrastructure control.
