Planning Board approves two home occupations and continues solar project hearing.
Planning Board · Meeting of March 12, 2026
LUDLOW — Planning Board approves two home occupations and endorses housing plan. The Board voted 4-0 to grant Special Permits and Home Occupation approvals to Alexis Smith for doula services at 29 Sunset Ridge and Nicholas Gomes for painting business at 72 Westerly Circle, both with permits running with the applicant. Vice Chairman Christopher Coelho made both motions.
The Board also voted 4-0 to endorse the Housing Production Plan dated October 2025 and directed the town planner to notify the Select Board of the decision and the Board's interest in maintaining consultant involvement for implementation. A large-scale 2-megawatt solar array proposed at 155 West Street by Ludlow, MA West St. Solar LLC was continued to April 9 after Chairman Raymond Phoenix raised concerns about missing site-plan chart data, inadequate snow-removal provisions, and unconfirmed fire-department road-width compliance on the 9-acre Ludlow portion of the 12.2-acre development.
