Ludlow Commission on Disability approves prior minutes, addresses budget shortfall.

misc · Meeting of April 23, 2026

Ludlow Commission on Disability approves prior minutes as budget crisis forces delay of summer camp support. Treasurer Diane Shea Walton reported a zero balance in the current fiscal year after prior-year purchases were incorrectly applied to the FY 2026 account, and will request a starting balance for FY 2027. The Commission discussed multiple accessibility initiatives, including evaluation of High School Sport Complex handicap parking and a T-Mobile grant proposal for $50,000 to fund an accessible walking path and access upgrades at Whitney Park.

The Commission has openings for Vice Chairperson and voting members; next meeting is May 28, 2026.
