Conservation Commission approves farm access road and wetland replacement plan

Ludlow Conservation Commission approves three major permits with contingencies. Chair Angela Tierney, Vice Chair Helder Cerqueira, and member Joseph Chaloux unanimously approved a Notice of Intent for a farm access road at 164 Lyon Street with a 252 square foot wetland replacement area offsetting 381 square feet of total impact. The Commission also unanimously approved an amended Notice of Intent for the Ludlow Renewables solar project at 0 East Street contingent on Department of Public Works stormwater analysis approval, after engineers redesigned stormwater basins to improve functionality and protect isolated wetlands.
A fourth-foot black chain-link fence at 33 Evergreen Circle received a negative determination, permitting installation without wetland impact for child safety and to deter illegal dumping near a pond and reservoir.
