Board of Library Trustees approves $5,870 in exterior painting work and accepts donation.

misc · Meeting of May 12, 2026

LUDLOW — Hubbard Memorial Library trustees unanimously accept donation and approve painting project. The board voted to accept a $1,000 donation from Carol Przybycien and approved a $5,870 contract with Northeast Painting Associates Inc. to paint exterior metalwork, lamp posts, doors, and railings at the library. Director Melissa Rickson reported accounting discrepancies totaling approximately $11,660, memorial fund deposits miscredited between June 2025 and March 2026, plus a wifi grant fund deposited to a town account rather than the library account.

The board directed staff to invite town administrative official Marc Strange to the June 9 meeting to address the discrepancies.
