Board of Health approves six-month conditional permit for Madd Eatz food truck.
Board of Health · Meeting of January 14, 2026
LUDLOW — Board of Health approves six-month conditional permit for Madd Eatz food truck. Owner John Placzek appeared at a January 14 public hearing to appeal the Health Department's non-renewal notice, acknowledging violations found during an October 4 inspection including improper food temperature, items stored on the floor, and inadequate handwashing facilities. Health Director Paulina Matusik documented the violations in a Board-reviewed packet.
All three Board members voted unanimously to grant the conditional permit at a $60 fee, expiring July 1, 2026, on condition that all five violations are rectified and that Madd Eatz submit event dates in advance or notify the Health Department within 24 to 48 hours of last-minute events; any high-risk foodborne-illness violation will result in immediate revocation.
